The RED Epic-W’s 8K S35 sensor called “Helium” that the camera uses allows for extremely high detail, unlike anything previously on the market. The unbeatable resolution allows viewers to experience images and video in an intricate way, being able to see every subtlety.

Glass Eye Productions, Inc. has just added the Red Epic-W 8K S35 digital camera to our collection of equipment, and we couldn’t be more excited about the awesome features it will allow us to utilize. This camera has been intensely coveted in the video production industry for quite some time, and when it was released, we knew it was the perfect fit for Glass Eye Productions. Our team has been creating quality content for over 25 years, and the Red Epic S35 will take us to the next level.

The color quality and dynamic range of the Red Epic-W 8K S35 is incredibly high, making images more realistic than previously possible. It’s an excellent tool for capturing all the lights and darks of a scene for stunning realism.

The Red Epic-W’s 8K S35 sensor called “Helium” that the camera uses allows for extremely high detail, unlike anything previously on the market. The unbeatable resolution allows viewers to experience images and video in an intricate way, being able to see every subtlety. 8K resolution creates infinite possibilities for our creative team by using 35 million pixels, which creates 4x more resolution than 4K—and over 17x more resolution than HD. This feature is used in order to create quality images when reframing within the frame during post-production. For example, say our crew takes an image of a wide landscape of trees and animals. A normal camera might produce a really great overall quality, but would not have a high resolution if zoomed in on a particular tree. The Red Epic-W with Helium 8K S35 sensor would allow the reframed image of a tree, within a much larger shot of the whole landscape, to be just as heavily detailed as the original image shot in HD.

In addition, the Red Epic-W 8K S35 has the added bonus of being incredibly light and easy to carry. This allows our crew to have an easier time managing the equipment and being able to focus on the details of the shoot.

We took our new RED Epic-W 8K S35 camera out for a spin at the beautiful City of Hope campus for our first official shoot. It’s always rewarding to create effective videos for our clients with the latest and greatest tools. The footage looks amazing!
